2. What data we collect
We collect the minimum amount of personal data needed to provide and improve CalcStack:
- Account information — if you purchase a premium feature via Stripe, we receive your email address to verify access.
- Usage data — pages visited, calculators used, browser type, device type, IP address (anonymised where possible).
- Payment data — if you purchase a premium feature, Stripe processes your payment. We never see or store your full card number.

3. How we use your data
- To provide, maintain and improve CalcStack's tools.
- To authenticate your account and deliver premium features you have purchased.
- To understand how visitors use the site so we can make it better.
- To respond to support enquiries.
- To comply with legal obligations, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
4. Legal basis for processing
- Contract — processing necessary to provide the services you have signed up for.
- Consent — analytics cookies are only placed with your explicit consent. We do not run advertising and set no advertising cookies.
- Legitimate interest — improving our services, preventing fraud, and ensuring security.

- Analytics data — retained for up to 26 months, then automatically deleted.
- Payment records — retained as required by UK tax law (typically 6 years).

- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.

- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time (e.g. via our cookie preferences tool).

8. International transfers
Our primary infrastructure is hosted in the UK (AWS eu-west-2). Some third-party services (Stripe, Google) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or UK adequacy decisions.
9. Children's privacy
CalcStack is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. ICO registration
Flavoureak UK Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on the site. Continued use of CalcStack after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
